Nov 29, 2010, Toronto: SH!FT, a rapid eLearning authoring tool, won top award at DemoFest in the Onboarding / Employee Orientation category. Rick Beaudry, CEO of Mindmuze and Randolf Kissling, CEO of Aura Interactiva, demonstrated the winning technology to conference attendees during the two hour event.
SH!FT’s entry in the OnBoarding / Employee Orientation category was entitled Green Your Office, a web-based guide narrated by celebrated environmentalist Dr. Suzuki. The fully interactive eLearning module helps organizations see the benefits of going green at work and learn how to influence behaviour within the organization.

About DevLearn 2010
DevLearn 2010 Conference & Expo is, by far, North America’s leading e-Learning event. This event caters to seasoned eLearning professionals who are out on the leading edge of the emerging technologies. Attracting between 1,600 and 1,800 participants, it is a highly technical audience of senior managers and practitioners who gather each year to explore the latest and greatest technologies for learning.
Toronto, Canada – November 10, 2010 – Scenario based learning allows educators to engage students in the eLearning environment creating an enriched and ingrained learning experience.
Aura Interactiva and MindMuze announced the release of the Scenario Builder as part of their award-winning SH!FT eLearning authoring technology. Aura Interactiva, based in San Jose, Costa Rica and MindMuze, based in Toronto, Canada have partnered in the distribution of SH!FT in North America.
“We continue to listen to global educators and instructional design professionals, so that we can help deliver unprecedented efficiencies in eLearning authoring. The Scenario Builder is a whole new way of creating eLearning that boosts engagement and retention with animation, image and sound,” said Rick Beaudry, CEO, MindMuze. “Our goal is to provide corporations, governments and schools with the most efficient platform in the building of complex eLearning interactions,” Beaudry added.
Randolf Kissling, CEO, Aura Interactiva, commented, “With the Scenario Builder, trainers and educators with zero graphic design or programming skills can create complex learning scenarios that can be delivered to students in minutes.”
Traditionally, producing eLearning programs has been a time-consuming, expensive task that involves a team of instructional designers, graphic designers and developers. SH!FT has removed the need to be technical and transferred the power of creating rich eLearning content to the educator. Now, anyone is able create the ultimate eLearning environment.
SH!FT (www.shiftelearning.com) is more than an eLearning authoring tool, it is an eLearning ecosystem. SH!FT allows you to create eLearning courses collaboratively. Browser-based, SH!FT’s development team continues to work toward building optimum efficiency in the design and build of complex eLearning interactions for today’s learner.
In 2009, Aura Interactiva (www.aurainteractiva.com) formed a North American distribution partnership with MindMuze (www.mindmuze.com), one of the most innovative eLearning companies in the world. MindMuze used its own unique training processes to create the best of breed mentoring and training for SH!FT users. Together, Aura Interactiva and MindMuze are continuing to develop and improve SH!FT. Both feel that SH!FT is exactly what the market needs right now, and are thrilled to be a part of it.

We here at MindMuze we are really excited about a new web-based authoring system called Shift being added to our repertoire of tools. It represents a real departure from the traditional client-based applications because it allows anyone to create an eLearning course. And I mean anyone! Basically, if you can use Powerpoint, you can use Shift.
It really is an amazing piece of technology. It lets you create completely professional content. You can create drafts, and reviewers can add comments right in the learning materials, where they can be aggregated with other comments. It can therefore be as collaborative and interactive as you like. It also includes a powerful gallery of content templates that cover everything from straightforward presentations to complex scenarios and software simulations.
We recently used Shift to put together a special H1N1 awareness package. Our clients were stunned by how quickly we were able to put it together — it went online during the first wave of news reports, when people were only just hearing of H1N1 and few people yet knew what to do about it. As a public service, we quickly began offering the course as a free download (it’s still available), all thanks to this amazing system.
And if we were able to rush together an eLearning course of such importance in so short a time, imagine how easily it will be for anyone to create similar packages in response to frequently asked questions, even if those questions are constantly changing.
Shift will be officially launched very soon. Having worked with it myself, I can tell you this will be a huge, potentially game-changing event. Stay tuned!
